THE JOB

LSD was involved in a very classy “Italian Job” offering our world class photography and retouching skills.

Working for one of Italy’s well know wine producers, the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico together with the agency Max Information, was a very tasty affair. The pitch was born from the need of the Consortium, which returns to communication after ten years, to emphasize the value and uniqueness of Tuscan wine, identified by the brand of the Black Rooster, but also to reaffirm its identity in a very competitive Italian wine market: hence the pay-off “Chianti Classico, not a classic Chianti”.

This is a multi-subject campaign where we see our Black Rooster in a series of photographic portraits resembling classical paintingsĀ in aristocratic poses and with clothes from various eras. The campaign was launched by a portrait set in the eighteenth century, a century in which the boundaries of the territory of Chianti were defined for the first time. The Consortium has planned advertising campaigns and events in the main Chianti Classico Gallo Nero wine markets, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, North-Europe and England.
